Our volunteers help us to provide food and practical support to people left without enough money to live on.

Volunteers make a difference in the local community across a range of roles, including boosting donations, packing food parcels, providing a warm welcome, tackling loneliness, signposting to additional services, connecting with partners, raising awareness and leading projects.

Volunteer roles

Volunteer for our foodbank centres

Join our team in providing direct, compassionate support to people visiting the foodbank. Volunteers help prepare food parcels, offer a warm welcome, and signpost clients to additional support services.

What you’ll do

Greet clients and make them feel comfortable
Check voucher validity and pack food parcels
Provide refreshments and keep the centre tidy
Listen to clients and offer signposting information

What we’re looking for

A strong team player with good communication skills
Self‑motivated and committed to supporting the community
